Filthy Rich Boys (Rich Boys of Burberry Prep Book 1) by C.M. Stunich

This is the first book in the Rich Boys of Burberry Prep series.

Description
Break the new girl.
That should be easy, right?
Trash like her doesn’t belong at Burberry Prep.
No, Marnye Reed is going down, and we plan to make a spectacle out of it.
Let’s see who can make her fall in love first.
Bet’s on. Any takers?

Take on the filthy rich boys.
They’re the idols of the school, veritable gods on earth.
Old Money. New money. A rising star.
These guys are nothing like the ones at my old school.
I might come from nothing, but I’m determined to be someone, and I won’t let them get in my way.
They say they’ll make my life a living hell; I think they mean to keep that promise.

This book was brilliant to read. The characters are good, the storyline is great and the plot developed well.

The first chapter does give away the ending, but it didn’t change how great this book was to read, and how the ending comes to happen.

Marnye was a great character. She’s strong and determined, if not a little naieve at times. She was far too trusting and should have known better, but she don’t half have a backbone. You can’t fault her will power though. She gets bullied by everyone time and time again, but always comes through on top.

The boys were great too. Creed, Zayd and Tristan, the Idols, are cruel. Each one had their own personality and each one an absolute dick. The whole way through, you know the small kind streak was going to end, but the way it ends was still unexpected and harsh. I feel like the chemistry between them had some truth in it, bet or no bet, and I’m looking forward to seeing where this leads.

The girls were so much worse though. They were so bitchy and I really hope they get what’s coming to them.

The storyline was great. There were plenty of twists thrown in, and the ending leaves you wanting to read more. I hope she comes back and shows those boys that they’ve messed with the wrong girl, and I hope they realise just what they’ve done.

Overall, this book was brilliant to read and I’d definitely recommend it.

The Angels (Raven River Academy Book 1) by Ruby Vincent

This is the first book in the Raven River Academy series.

My parents forgot something when they ran… me.

After scamming most of our town out of their life savings, my folks disappeared in the middle of the night.

Forced to take me in, my estranged aunt and uncle shipped me off to Raven River Academy the first chance they got.

In my town, the line between the haves and the have-nots is actually a twelve-foot gate that keep the unwanted where they belong. Nothing could unite the two factions until I set foot on campus.

For the first time in our history, they all agree on one thing:

I must pay for my father’s sins.

But why should I care?

The joke is on them because I have nothing left inside. No part of me that isn’t already broken. I invite them to do their worst.

Until The Angels enter the game.

The most dangerous gang in town has a score to settle with my family, and Cassius, Clay, Hiro, and Royal are here to collect.

Raven River soon becomes a battleground of lies, deceit, and violence, and I stand at the heart of it.

The gorgeous otherworldly Angels will remind me that there is one thing left that I care about… and they’ll destroy it in heavenly fire.

I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was good and the plot developed well. I loved the characters as well.

Ember was a great main character. She was strong and determined, but also kind. She was ruthless when she wanted to be as well.

The bullying she received was harsh, but the way she dealt with it all was great. Like I said, she’s strong.

I liked the boys in the end, but they were massive dicks to begin with. Especially Royal and Hiro. Cass and Clay were the better ones and by the end, I loved them two.

I enjoyed watching Embers relationship with the boys developed. Her relationship with Royal was an interesting one, and by the end I liked him. Her relationship with Cass was fantastic and I really hope she develops the same thing with his brother Clay. Hiro hasn’t grown on me much yet. He just seem a little grumpy and miserable.

The beginning was a little slow and it took me a little while to get into it, but the more we learnt about the Angels and Horseman, and about what her parents did, the more it grabbed my attention. The ending was brilliant.

Rio turned out to be quite an unexpected character, although a massive dick. I’m intrigued to see what happens next after that cliffhanger.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.

Zodiac Academy: The Big A.S.S Party by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is a Novella set in the Zodiac Academy series, which falls between books 5 and 6.

Once upon a moon, the wild wind whispered in my ear that the true queens were returning to Solaria and I made it my mission to open up their path to the throne so that they could slip right in like an oily oyster.

Now, on this most special and wonderous of days, the very day of their birth – I will prove myself to be the most loyal and dependable of their followers. Though of course, Venus is in my chart and Lady Petunia has caught sight of the bothersome barracuda once more.

Max Rigel is my most sinful of temptations, the shark in the dark who wishes to lure me to his sea cave and I don’t know if I’m Fae enough to resist him for long.

But one thing is for sure, I will make certain the Vegas get the big A.S.S. they deserve for their birthday or I’ll die trying. Succulent squids be damned!

This was a brilliant story. The plot was great and it was a great filler to go between the main books.

Geraldine is the best, and it was fantastic to get inside her head, and I absolutely love the relationship she has with Max.

Seeing Tory and Darcy from her point of view great, but it brought back all of the heartbreak from book 5.

The humour in this book was wonderful, but that was just Geraldine herself. She’s hilarious and I kind of wish that I had a Geraldine in my life.

Even in a Novella, our Celestial Authors had to add a twist at the end. I really hope that Max wins her over in the end.

Overall, this was a brilliant Novella which fills the gaps from book 5 brilliantly. I would definitely recommend reading it, but only if you’ve already read Zodiac Academy: Cursed Fates.

Beautiful Carnage (The Boys of Sinners Bay book 1) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the first book in The Boys of Sinners Bay series which can be read as a standalone.

“If she sleeps in my bed every night, she’ll end up falling in love with me…and that’ll be awkward as hell when I have to kill her.”

SLOAN
He’s my twisted nightmare.

My blood bound enemy.

My ruthless desire.

Our fates were spun the night he tried to kill me and now he’s back to destroy me for good.

It’s always been us versus them. The Calabresis against the Romeros.

This city is ours but they vowed to take it from us. And when they couldn’t, they took me instead.

Now I’m chained by the cruellest of them all; the man who wrapped his hands around my throat and tried to squeeze the life from me all those years ago.

But I won’t fall prey to him. I’m older, fiercer and I’ve grown claws of my own.

Rocco Romero thinks he can keep me captive, but he’s about to regret bringing a sleeping tiger into his home.

ROCCO
She’s my greatest failure.

The name that always haunts me.

My dirty little secret.

And when I had the chance to kidnap her from her wedding, nothing on God’s green earth could stop me.

She’s mine. I could take her life, her body or her heart if I wanted to.

But my brothers refuse to believe me.

So when they bet I can’t make the little principessa fall in love with me, of course I step up to the challenge.

And when she’s down on her knees, pouring her heart out, I’ll crush it in my fist.

I’m lining the Calabresis up like dominoes. And she’ll be the first to fall.

This book was a little outside of my normal reading genre, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.

The characters are great, the storyline was great and the plot developed at a good pace.

Sloan was a great character. She started out being pretty helpless and naive, but developed into a strong character.

Rocco was also a brilliant character. He really was harsh to begin with. He’s a complete stronzo, a total ass, and he completly owns it.

I loved the character development that Sloan and Rocco each had. Their relationship was an interesting one, both of them hating each other until they didn’t. I loved the exchanges between them, and enjoyed watching them grow. Ultimately, their relationship grew to be on fire.

Nicoli was an interesting character. I didn’t like him to begin with and found him to be a little selfish and possessive, until the end when he actually listened to her and let her to make her own choice.

Frankie and Enzo were also great characters, and the addition with Coco was also great.

It was a good change to read a book with no cliffhanger by our Celestial Authors.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book, and I’m looking forward to the next one. I would definitely recommend it.

Kings of Lockdown (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 2) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the second book in the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep

The sex tape
The fish stew
The Unspeakables
The storm
The font
The bathtub
The ice
The gun
The clothes
The humiliation
The shower
The letters
THE VOW

I had my chance to run from these brutal boys and I didn’t take it. The bonds between us are too strong now. Bonds of blood, oaths, betrayal and vengeance. And I intend to make good on all of them. I’ve made my list. And I won’t stop until each and every one of their crimes has been paid for.

Divide and conquer. We’re going to tear them apart from the inside out. I won’t quit until I’ve had my pound of flesh and then some. These broken boys paint themselves up as kings and stand themselves on a pedestal above everybody else. But that only means they’ve got further to fall. And they’re going to fall hard.

I know their strength now, but I’ve learned their weaknesses too. And I might just be becoming their greatest one. My father taught me how to survive, and it’s time to use everything I know about predators to lure them into my own trap.

Lies, betrayal, seduction. I’ll use every weapon at my disposal to bring them to their knees and once I’m done with them, they won’t own me.

I’ll own them.

🦑 – That is all.

This book was absolutely brilliant. I was glued to it from the start. The storyline is brilliant, the characters are fantastic and the plot developed well.

There was plenty of humour in this book, and it had me proper laughing at various points, but it also had a dark twisted storyline as well. It was incredibly well balanced.

Tatum is absolutely brilliant. She’s such a strong character and after everything she’s gone through, she just keeps fighting back. I absolutely loved seeing her get her revenge in this book.

The boys actually grew on me and Blake definitely shined more so than the others in, this book. Kyan is an interesting character. The little mentions of his family and life leave you intrigued and I hope we learn more about what he’s gone through. Saint is also an interesting character. He definitely showed his softer side, but he is also the strictest and still punished her more than the others. I think the three of them are having a fantastic character development.

Nash Monroe might just be one of my favourite characters from any book, and he’s definitely made the top three at least. He’s Tatum’s knight in shining armour and the sexual tension between them is on fire. I absolutely loved seeing their relationship grow, especially as he became one of the tribe. The chemistry between them, especially at the end, was smoking hot. I really hope that this relationship between them continues to grow because it’s absolutely fantastic to read.

The development with the Unspeakables was an interesting one.

The ending. Our Celestial Authors are notorious with their cliffhangers. I found it quite unexpected and it’s only left me buzzing to read the next book. My heart breaks for Tatum, but I believe that she’s a strong enough character to thrive and conquer the situation. She also has her tribe at her back.

Overall, this book was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend this series. The characters are brilliant and the storyline is fantastic.

Zodiac Academy 3: The Reckoning by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the third book in the Supernatural Bullies and Beasts series.

The answer to your question will be revealed on the Lunar Eclipse.

But when finding the truth, don’t let the shadows take you.

The week of The Reckoning has begun. And senior students have been tasked with making the freshmen’s lives pure hell as they prepare to take their fateful assessment.

With the Lunar Eclipse on the horizon, Tory and Darcy have more to worry about than just passing their exams. A dark plot is unfolding and the shadows are drawing closer…

I love this series and I think it’s a masterpiece.

The characters are brilliant. The storyline is fantastic and it is written so well.

Darcy and Tory are brilliant. They have their similarities, especially being twins, and yet there are differences which make them both unique.

Lance Orion and Darcy are everything in this book. I absolutely love their relationship and I’m totally routing for them. Reading their relationship towards eachother develop had me feeling excited as they are just so suited.

I think with Tory, that Darius is better matched with her. Caleb is generally the nicer guy, and I love reading their relationship grow, but I’m finding myself routing for Darius more.

I think the 4 guys have their point of views every so often makes you feel differently towards them. It doesn’t make what they do any better, but it puts an understanding to their actions. So getting inside Darius’s head is probably why I’m routing for him with Tory. There’s so much more to him than mets the eye and I feel that theirs more emotions between him and Tory as oppose to with Caleb.

The storyline was brilliant and the plot developed at a good pace. I just love the world building behind it all. You can really picture everything playing out in your mind. I’m glad we have got to see the girls Order’s too.

I would absolutely and completely recommend this series. It’s one of the best that I’ve read this year. It gets you completely invested in the characters and story.

I can’t wait for the next book.

Zodiac Academy 2: Ruthless Fae by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the second book in the Bullies and Beasts series.

They tried to break us.
They almost did.
But we’re not going anywhere.

The Celestial Heirs think the stars are on their side. But they don’t know what’s coming. We have to be smart. Fighting them one on one isn’t an option so we have to be stealthy. Remaining under the radar won’t be easy, but if we pull it off, they’ll never suspect our involvement when their lives start falling apart.

Besides, they’ve already taken us to the brink of hell, what more can they really do?

This book was absolutely fantastic. The storyline picked up where it left off and continued to developed well and at a good pace. The characters are brilliant.

Tory and Darcy are the best. They have had such a hard time and especially at the end of the last book, but they came back fighting. I loved watching them get their own back.

The 4 heirs are still arseholes. I must say though that Darius and Caleb have had moments in this book which almost made me like them. Almost.

I think Tory’s relationships with them both have been interesting to read and see develop. I think she done right by picking Caleb over Darius though, and I think even then, she doesn’t doesn’t particularly like him and is just having a bit of fun.

Lance Orion and Darcy are the best thing to see in this book. Their forbidden relationship is the best. I just found myself willing Lance and Darcy and give in to their emotions. I love the way he kept being harsh to Seth over her blue hair. He totally deserves it and worse. I’m totally rooting for them both and I really hope we continue to see them both give in to their feelings and let their relationship progress.

I love the world building in this book. There is every beast and creature you could imagine in it and the descriptions really make them come to life. It’s brilliant.

The end was fast paced and exciting, an then it ended on a cliffhanger. I’m buzzing to know what happens next.

Overall, this series is fantastic and I think anyone who hasn’t read it is missng out on a little gem here. It’s exciting and fast paced, the characters are brilliant and the storyline is amazing.

I would definitely recommend it.
