Riverside Warrior (Riverside Docks Crew Book 1) release

The first book of my newest series is out today!

The Crew stole my freedom.
They changed my life.
But I’m a warrior.

Frankie Gomez, the gang leader’s son, the future of the Riverside Docks Crew has claimed me.
I didn’t want anything to do with the gang. I didn’t want anything to do with him.
I didn’t have a choice.

Frankie, Joe, Ash.
I’m surrounded by these men with no way out.
But when I find myself in the middle of the gang wars, Frankie is the only person who can save me alongside his two bodyguards.

This is the first book in a reverse harem, dark romance gang series.

Queen of Quarantine (Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep Book 4) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the 4th and final book in the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep series.

Once upon a time I met four monsters and thought the world would come to an end at their hands.

But I was a fool.
Because I didn’t understand the bigger picture.
That the enemies I thought I knew would become the reason for my entire existence. My strength. My pain. My life. My love.

The big bad wolf has teeth and claws as sharp as iron, and the danger before my eyes is blinding. So blinding that I didn’t see the true danger lurking in the dark.

But now my eyes are wide open and I see it all.

Alone and afraid and running out of time, I’m not afraid of monsters anymore.

I’m counting on them to come for me.

Because if they don’t, this foolish girl might be lost forever in the dark.

‘I am the dark in the dead of night. Hear me roar!’

This series is an absolute masterpiece. I absolutely love the characters and the story is fantastic.

I love Tatum. She is so totally hardcore, and she really does become a savage queen in this book. She overcomes everything she’s put through, even when the world is taking the fight from her.

Nash Monroe is my favourite. He’s fantastic and I’ve loved him from the start. He fits in with the others perfectly, and I loved watching him truly become one of them in this book. Blake is the perfect golden boy, so nice and funny. Kyan is the broody beast who’s fantastic. Saint is the brains who is able to keep them all together. Compared to what he’s like at the beginning, he has become a brilliant person. I love all four of them and they’re all so different, yet great.

Their relationship with Tatum is fantastic. They all compliment her in different ways and the five of them together just works. I also loved the hotness when they were taking her together. It was great to read and Tatum’s a champ for navigating all four of them.

The storyline developed well with the virus, Kyans crazy family, and Saints dad. I think everything worked out well in the end. It was exciting and everything rounded up well. There was some touch and go moments for the characters and there was humour. I laughed and I shouted at them.

I love Naill. He’s absolutely brilliant and I loved seeing him in this book. I’m so happy that he’s getting his own series.

I also loved the sly additions of mentioning their other books. Sneaky and clever.

I’m glad that the time was taken to really explore the happy ending between them all. I think it was absolutely perfect in every way. Nothing was left out and it couldn’t have ended any better.

The last line made me laugh a hell of a lot. Absolutely priceless. 🦑

Overall, I have absolutely loved reading this series and it’s kind of sad that it’s over. The characters are fantastic and I feel like we’ve truly been on a journey and got to know them. The storyline has been absolutely fantastic, and the ending was pure perfection.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this series.

Voyeur (Voyeur series Book 1) by Fiona Cole

This is a standalone novel, but the first in the Voyeur series.

I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.

Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.

But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.

The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.

I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I’ve seen all of her, I can’t look away.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and I enjoyed the storyline.

Oaklyn was a great character. I think she was far too forgiving towards her parents for using her college money, because having to work at Voyeur because of it was right. She was determined to do whatever she could to make it through the school year, and you have to admire that. Not everyone would have the guys to do what she did.

Callum was such a brilliant, complex character. At first impression, what he was doing was a little creepy. He knew she was his student, yet he still watched her there. It was a little wrong, but I loved watching them get to know each other though. Even after she knew what he was doing, she still took the time to get to know him. When we found out about his history and backstory, my heart went out to him and I started to love him. You understand why her goes there because of it. What Oaklyn did to help him was brilliant, and when he thanked her for it after, it was brilliant to read. I loved that emotional side of him. I loved watching their relationship grow and develop, especially with him overcoming his past. They were brilliant together. The epilogue was a brilliant ending.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. The storyline was good and the characters were great.

A Single Glance (Irresistible Attraction Book 1) by W. Winters

This is the first book in the Irresistible Attraction series.

I saw her from across the bar.
My bar. My city. Everything in that world belonged to me.
She stood out from the crowd like she was looking for someone to blame for her pain.

That night, I felt the depths of my mistakes. I felt my scars. With a single glance, I knew her touch would take it all away. I craved it more than anything.

I knew she would be a tempting, beautiful mistake.
One I would make again and again… even if it cost me everything.

I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was great and the characters were great.

I liked Bethany. She was struggling with her grief, and was turning it more into anger. She knows that someone is responsible for what happened to her sister, Jennifer, and Jase and his brothers seem like the obvious choice with what Limited information she knows.

I really liked Jase and believe that he had nothing to do with it. He’s trying to help her, although she’s too stuck in her emotions to see that. I liked their little arrangement, although there is clearly a spark between them. I like how it stopped being buisness between them and turned into attraction. They were pretty hot together at times.

I think Jase needs to tell her the truth more otherwise he will completely lose her trust, especially after the ending. I’m intrigued to find out more about Marcus, and is what Jase found out really true?

I’m looking forward to the next book and I would definitely recommend it. The storyline was good and the characters were great.

Crossing The Line (It’s Complicated book 1) by Maggie Cole

This is part of the It’s Complicated series, but is a standalone novel.

Noah Parker. Gorgeous and arrogant.
From the first moment we meet, I decide I just might hate him… almost as much as I want him. But a scandalous office romance is the last thing I’m willing to risk my career over.
Noah’s presence is unavoidable, just like our chemistry, and the longer we work side by side, the more mistakes we make.
Inappropriate doesn’t even begin to cover it. And I promise each time will be the last…
After all, he is my boss.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were great and the storyline was good.

Piper was great. I loved how how she worked, and then to have everything change because of Noah. I loved the tension between them at the beginning and then watching their relationship grow. I absolutely loved Noah. I loved his story and why he was doing whst he was.

The story was good. I liked the reasoning behind what Noah had set out to do. When the secrets came out to Piper, I loved how they worked together. I also loved how Noah reacted to her own secrets.

Noah and Piper were both brilliant together, and both grew from being with one another. I enjoyed their happy ending together.

The accident with Xander and Charlotte does leave you intrigued about the next book in the series.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. The storyline was good and the characters were great.

Taken By You (Trilogy boxset) by M. L. Young

This is the full Trilogy boxset for the Taken By You series.

Taken by You: I came in for an internship. I left dating a billionaire.

Penelope Wells, San Francisco twenty-something and soon-to-be college graduate, must make a choice.

She has one chance left, an internship interview at RandomMeetX, a dating app founded by misogynistic playboy billionaire Blake Hunter. She’s not into the dating scene, but a chance to work for a large tech company might be the stepping stone she needs to make it in this industry.

When she shows up and sees the other applicants, she knows there will be a struggle. She’s a little vanilla, and they are rocky road with hot fudge.

When Blake sees her, though, all bets are off. She’s not his usual type but he wants her, not for work, but to be his. He proposes something to her, a way for her needs to be taken care of—if she promises to take care of his.

With her bank account depleting and time running out she agrees, but quickly finds out Blake’s needs involve handcuffs, blindfolds, and lots of handprints on her ass.

Seduced by You: Blake Hunter has never been able to take no for an answer. When Penny doesn’t return his text messages or calls, he can’t help but feel an undying, nagging urge inside of him to talk to Penny, who at this point doesn’t feel ready to say a word to him. When she goes out on a date with a new man, though, and runs into Blake on a date of his own, she can’t help but feel backed into a corner—literally.

After talking to Blake and thinking it over, she decides to do something to him that she never thought was possible. She’s going to give him a piece of his own medicine and use him just like he used her. It’s only when she starts to redevelop her old feelings for him that she knows she’s in way too deep, and she knows that her lies may hurt things all over again.

Loved by You: After confessing her deceit to Blake, Penny has no idea what’s going to happen to their relationship. Will he take her back and understand why she lied to him and used him, as he once used her, or will he say goodbye forever and give up on what they had?

As they begin to patch things up, an opportunity to meet Blake’s parents arises, and it’s through that meeting that Penny finds out why Blake is the way he is, and discovers the story of the woman who shaped him into the emotionally distant serial playboy she first met. But can their relationship survive and stay the same after she finds out about his past?

I really enjoyed reading this boxset. The characters were great and I enjoyed the storyline.

Penny was a great character. I loved Blake as well. I loved the fact that Blake started out from nothing. He was generous with his fortune which just made him even more likable. They both had a brilliant spark together, even though they started off a little rough. Once they got past their problems, they were perfect.

The storyline was very much about both of them and their developing relationship. I enjoyed watching them grow together. I did feel like something else should have happened to test them because the plot was a little bit lacking, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed it. I think it was because I really liked the characters.

Overall, it was an enjoyable trilogy to read and I would recommend it.

The Professor (Forbidden Encounters book 1) by Kelli Callahan

This is a standalone novel in the Forbidden Encounters series.

One night with a stranger. Then I find out who he is…

Christmas in Cancun?
Nothing can get better than that.
Until I see him.
Bryce.
He looks like a Christmas gift wrapped in a bow.

We talk, drink, and kiss.
That’s just the beginning.
But one lie leads to another.
It’s a lot better than telling him the truth.
What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico.
Right?

Unless it follows you home…

I was ready for him to be a memory.
Ready to move on with my life.
Until I saw him standing in the front of my class.
Bryce? The hottest guy I’ve ever met?

He’s my professor.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were great and the storyline was ok.

Bryce was a brilliant character. He was pretty perfect. He was so nice, understanding and caring. His dad was a dick though. Abby was great as well. I loved the spark between them both, and I loved seeing their relationship develop. It was great. The ending was brilliant as well, and very romantic of Bryce.

The storyline was good, although it was heavily focused on their relationship more than an outside storyline. It only scratched on the situation with Bruce’s dad and Abbys dad, and it was only near the end that they played a part in the plot. Bryce did jump to a conclusion too rash and believed the wrong person. But he made it up in the most perfect way. I loved how it ended.

Overall, this was a nice book to read. Bryce and Abby were great and their relationship developed really well. I just think there could have been a slightly stronger storyline outside of their relationship. I would definitely recommend this book though.

My rating: 4/5*

At His Will by Trent Evans

This is a standalone novel.

She was caught. Now she will be punished.

Alyson Hart thought nothing could be more embarrassing than being caught stealing by her boss.

She was wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong.

Bare and on display with her bottom burning and tears running down her blushing cheeks, Alyson will learn what shame really means one humiliating lesson at a time. But with every painful punishment and every disgraceful new way her quivering, naked body is used for his enjoyment, it becomes ever more difficult for her to hide the truth from him… or from herself.

She isn’t getting what she deserves. She is getting what she needs.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the storyline was good.

I liked the characters although I couldn’t connect to them like I usually do in books. Alyson was a good character, although she did need a little bit more of a backbone. There’s being submissive and then there’s being a complete pushover. I would have liked to see a little bit more bite. I could sympathise with her situation and I admire that she did what Will said because her son was more important. It was completely understandable that she was fell prey to him. She just could have have a little bit more fight towards his actions because I felt sometimes he went a little bit too far.

Will was alright. I think he was good character, except he lacked emotions, especially towards the end when he was meant to have gained some. I just didn’t see them shine through enough. His need to dominate was fair enough, but he push things a little too far sometimes. I liked how him and Alyson built a connect, but with her, the emotion growing was there, with him it was minimal. His actions in saving her situation were obviously an act of caring, but I just think there needed to be more towards the end in terms of showing them towards her personally. Overall, I did like how things developed between them, but it could have been slightly better.

I think part of the problem was I prefer books written in first person POV. You get a better understanding of what’s going on in the characters heads that way.

I liked the storyline. There was more going on than just the situation between Will and Alyson which I liked.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book regardless of my reservations. The characters were good and the storyline was good. I would recommend it.

The Amendment (The Contract book 3)

This is the final final in The Contract series.

Richard VanRyan has it all.

A loving wife, a beautiful family, great friends, and a career he excels at.

He’s riding high on the crest of life.

What happens when the ride stops?

When the unthinkable becomes reality and life may never again be the same?

The Contract has changed.

Can Richard and Katy overcome The Amendment?

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are fantastic and the storyline was brilliant.

Katy and Richard are both brilliant characters. The character development is faultless. It’s brilliant to see their happy life together with everything going well, and I love the spark, between them. Then when things went wrong, it was gut wrenching to read. Richard didn’t know how to cope, and his behaviour wasn’t great, but Katy did everything she could from him. Seeing him struggle with everything, almost lose it all, and then then to come back fighting was fantastic.

The storyline was nothing like I expected. It hit the feels hard, especially when he was at his worst. The way it developed was great though, with him fighting to get everything back.

I loved the other characters and particularly the Gavins. Their brilliant and their support towards Richard and Katy was admirable.

I absolutely loved the ending. Everything ended up perfect in the end and they all got what they wanted. It was a perfect end to the series.

Overall, I loved this series. This book was brilliant. The characters are fantastic and the storyline is brilliant. I would definitely recommend this series.

The Contract (The Contract series book 1) by Melanie Moreland

This is the first book in The Contract series.

A tyrant by day, a playboy by night. That is the reputation that precedes Richard VanRyan. He lives life the way he wants, no concern for the opinion of others. He cares for no one, is completely unrepentant, and he has no desire to change his ways.
Katharine Elliott works under Richard as his PA. She despises him and his questionable ethics, but endures all the garbage he sends her way, because she needs the job. Her end goal is far more important than the daily abuse and demands she tolerates from her nasty tyrant of a boss.
Until the day, he asks her for something she never expected. A new role with a personal contract— fiancée instead of PA.
What happens when two people who loathe each other, have to live together and act as though they are madly in love?
Sparks.
That’s what happens.
Can the power of love really change a person?
Will they survive the contract?
What do you do when the one person you hate the most becomes the one person you can’t live without?

I really liked reading this book. The characters are great and the storyline was great.

Richard was fantastic. He was such an arsehole at the start. Selfish and mean. But the more he got to know Katherine, the more he changed. I actually really liked him.

Katherine was also brilliant. She was willing to do anything for Penny, even marry that arsehole.

Their relationship developed brilliantly and I loved the spark between them. He changed around her, realising that it was ok to feel. I loved learning both of their back stories. It explained a lot about him especially.

The moment they both admitted their feelings for one another was brilliant.

I loved the Gavin family as well. They didn’t deserve to be lied to, and Richard realised it eventually. Watching Katy and Richard become real was brilliant.

Overall, this book had a brilliant character development. I loved the characters and storyline. I would definitely recommend it.

My rating: 5/5*

I also read the next book after. The Baby Clause: 2.0 (The Contract Series Book 2)

This book was only a short story so I’ll include my review here.

Richard VanRyan can add another line to his resume—Daddy.
How does he handle the new addition to his life?
The Baby Clause is a short continuation of Richard and Katy’s story, containing humorous glimpses into his life as a father, and how his world has changed.

I really enjoyed this. It was great to see Richards reaction and his devotion to his baby and Katy was fantastic. It was a complete contrast to the man we met at the beginning.

Him and Katy are just fantastic and the love between them is brilliant. Overall, this was a brilliant short story and I would recommend it because it adds on to the happily ever after from the first book.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book and intrigued as to how it will go because everything has ended on a good note.
