Some unnatural power holds this place in its grip. The more I dig, the more horrors I uncover. Finding Cade might not be my biggest problem after all. It’s looking like none of us, me included, will escape this place alive.
I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was good, the characters were great and the plot developed well.
Trix was a good character. She was strong and stubborn. She’s also thinking about others more than herself although she is also very much a damaged soul.
I liked the three boys. Each of them are different. I feel like Ryo stood out more than the others although Jenson was also an interesting character. I feel like that there’s more to them than we know yet. Elias was my favourite. He’s protective although he’s keeping things back and I feel like there’s some tension between them that needs an outlet.
I’m looking forward to seeing how her relationship with each of them develops.
The storyline was definitely different. There’s many mysteries in this place which were only just seeing the surface off. I’m interested to know more about what’s happened to her brother.
My only criticism is that it took a little while for the pace to pick up. It was only the second half of the book where the action started to happen.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this book. The storyline was good and the characters are great. I’m intrigued to see what happens in the next book.
