Serving Him (Complete Boxset) by M. S. Parker and Cassie Wild

This is the full boxset of the Serving Him Series.

“I moved to New York from Iowa to find a life that I didn’t know I was looking for. I expected to have to work hard and barely make ends meet. But…I never expected to meet HIM.”

For twenty-one year-old Aleena Davison, it was a life-long dream coming true when she said goodbye to her dreary small-town life in Iowa and moved to Manhattan.
However, it didn’t take long for her dream to turn into a nightmare. Everything from the roommate from hell to her asshole of a boss, contributed to her pain and she’d just about given up. That was…until she ran into devilish handsome, Dominic Snow.
The mysterious stranger not only tried saving her waitress job, but also made her an offer she couldn’t refuse, a new and much more lucrative job.
“Strictly professional,” he’d insisted. But could she trust herself working for the hottest man she’d ever met?

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the storyline was good.

Aleena was a good character, although she was a little bit too sensitive about her race at times. I liked how she was a strong and was able to deal with Dominic and his busy lifestyle. She fitting into becoming his PA easily.

It was great reading Dominic and Aleena’s relationship grow and seeing him teach her about his sexual lifestyle. They had a clear spark and she just understood him. I enjoyed reading him come to terms with his feelings towards her. It took him a little while to realise that she wasn’t like others he had been with, and took, him a while to learn to the proper aftercare with her. In the end, they were great together.

I loved Dominic. The more you learnt about him, the better he was. I felt for him and what he went through in the past.

My only criticism is that I didn’t understand why this was split into volumes. They ended at almost random points and I didn’t really see the point. It made more sense being read as one continuous book.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the storyline was good. I would definitely recommend it.

A Dominant Salvation (A Dominant series Book 3) by Lena Black

This is the third and final book in A Dominant series.

When beautiful and strong-willed Gabrielle Hyde met the enigmatic and dominant Damian Hunt, gorgeous and confident, he was impossible to resist, no matter how much she tried. Like Elle, Hunt was tormented by his past, obsessed with controlling himself and her. He introduced her to a world of sex, travel, and power. And, in turn, she showed him everything he’d been missing, love, trust, and understanding. Though their road has had its share of bumps and detours, they’ve managed to fight whatever came their way.

The future seems bright and full of possibilities. But things aren’t always as they seem. With Dante lurking in the shadows and secrets still threatening to ruin everything they’ve worked for, will they remain bound to the chains of the past? Or will they finally find Salvation?

I loved reading this series. The characters were great and the storyline was great.

I loved watching Damian and Gabrielle’s relationship grow. They had their problems, but they got through them all. I loved how they adjusted to their new phase of life together while dealing with Dante.

Damian is brilliant. He did everything he could to protect her. I loved it when Gabrielle did the same back with all of his ex-subs. Ultimately, they ended up dealing with things together. A few surprises come to light in this book which I quite liked. Again, they both deal with it all.

The ending was great. Damian needed that shock to his system, and ultimately, Dante had an opportunity because of it. I liked the ending with him. He got what he deserved and it was quite nice the way it occurred.

The ending ending was brilliant. It was a great way to round up the story, and it was brilliant to see them both happy.

My only criticism was that the flashback scenes weren’t clearly labelled. It took a while to realise thst it was in the past when reading a few scenes.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series and I would definitely recommend it.

A Dominant Fallen (A Dominant series Book 2) by Lena Black

This is the second book in A Dominant series.

Gabrielle Hyde and Damian Hunt were ready to create a life together. But, as determined as they were to build a future, the demons they fought to overcome were just as determined to destroy it.
As Hunt struggled to find the strength to trust Elle with his past, it abruptly collided with the present, forcing Elle to make the decision to walk away from the love of her life and, possibly, her only chance at true happiness.
As the two attempt to find their footing, a dark secret larger than either Damian or Elle could have imagined lurks in the shadows, waiting to make itself known…
Will their love survive? Will Elle’s desire to protect Damian from their shattered pasts tear them apart, or will it make them stronger? Will Damian find his way back to his heart, or will he remain…A Dominant Fallen?

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are great and the storyline was good.

Gabrielle and Damian are great characters. I love how broken they both were without each other and the realisation that they needed to be together. Gabrielle left out of fear, and I loved the moment when Damian learnt the truth. It wasn’t him. It was Dante.

I loved how their relationship developed in this book. A lot happened in their time apart which they both had to deal with. They became closer inside and outside of the bedroom. Their relationship as Dom/sub developed as well as their love for one another.

I loved the ending. They were both so happy, getting everything they wanted, and then one little thing brought things crashing down. I’m looking forward to the next book and how things develop. I think Gabrielle and Damian will get through everything.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.

A Dominant Man (A Dominant series Book 1) by Lena Black

This is the first book in A Dominant series.

Gabrielle Hyde is bright, beautiful, and feisty, with a brilliant future ahead of her and an even darker past to overcome. Damian Hunt, CEO of Hunt Industries INC., is tormented by his inner demons, shattered past, and need to control.

When Elle falls into Hunt’s life, their need to be possessed by the other takes hold, beginning the young couple’s roller-coaster affair. Damian becomes obsessed by Elle, his need to dominate her, and his ability to give her what she deserves…Possibilities.

When their pasts decide to make themselves present, Elle starts to wonder if she could ever truly give in to such…A DOMINANT MAN

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters are good and the story developed well.

Gabrielle is a great character. She’s got a troubled past, but she’s also a strong independent woman. Damian’s lifestyle is new to her, and she doesn’t just give in to his every demand.

I loved reading their relationship develop. They’re so much more to eachother and both have scars from their past haunting them. Everything moved very quick though, and understood her reluctance. He is very intense. Their problem is that they don’t communicate as much as they should. Their answer to every problem is sex. Given his lifestyle, I understand it, but they are also claiming to be more which requires more.

The ending was exciting. Everything so happy, and I knew something was going to go wrong. I hope they manage to sort it out. I think the spark between them is natural, but they just need to communicate. I think he deserves to know what happened.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely recommend it. I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

Entwined (The Devil and His Dove Book 3) by Jax Hart

This is the third and final book in The Devil and His Dove series.

She changed me.
I’m no longer a dark, broken man but the sins of my past haunt me.
I destroyed lives while breaking countless woman who thought they could reach my black heart.
They all failed.
All but one.
HER.
But I’m not a man worthy of my dove. Not yet anyway. But I vow I will be someday. I hope she’ll still fly for me then.

Jessie
Freedom.
It’s all I’ve ever wanted.
I know we can fly together.
He left me, a broken shell of who I was. But who I am now is perhaps who– I was always destined to be. I see that clearly. I know deep in my heart–Christos and I belong together forever. His handsome face is on the cover of every magazine. The internet is full of pictures of him giving his millions away to countless children’s charities. My dark one is now the golden one, and I won’t let him leave me behind.
He won’t shine for anyone but me.
I gave him light.
I deserve his bright future.
But first I need to prove to him just how strong I’ve become. Together we can rule the world, chart our own course and soar higher than the stars.

I absolutely loved reading this series. The characters are fantastic and the storyline was great.

It was great to see Jessie and Christos work towards their own goals. They both needed it. Jessie made a life for herself, even though she couldn’t forget him. Christos made himself a better person, doing so much good in the world, and all for her. They both ached for one another.

I wanted to see them come back together. I would have liked them to find each other sooner, but I also think that the pace it went at was right. It made it all the better. He hurt her deeply in more ways than one. The journey to them finding each other was brilliant.

When they finally found each other, I loved how she made him work for it. They both needed to know that their love was real, and it was. The end result was brilliant to read. It was definitely a happy ending.

I would definitely recommend this series. It was written so brilliantly that you felt the feels reading it. It was a journey between these two characters. Both of them found themselves as much as they found each other.

Enraptured (The Devil and His Dove Book 2) by Jax Hart

This is the second book in The Devil and His Dove series.

I’m lost.
No longer the golden girl from California seeking a world of adventure. He pulled me into his dark underworld. I might have escaped, but he still has me enslaved, craving his dark, devilish touch and the pleasures of the world he introduced me to.
But he broke more than my boundaries.
He broke me.
I hate him… loathe him… can’t stop dreaming about my master– half wishing he’d find me and punish me like only he can.

Christos

My little dove ran.
But I will find her. No one escapes EL DIABLO. And when I do find my little dove, she will learn just how far I’ll go to keep her forever.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are great, the storyline is good and it hit the feels.

Jessie is a great character. She is so strong willed to put up with what he makes her suffer through. I love her adamance to say no to him until he changed his tune.

Christos is a brilliant character. He’s very complex. He took things way too far in this book and was actually pretty cruel. When he realised how he truly felt about her, he changed how he treated her.

They both just needed to talk to each other more. He needed to open up and she needed him to listen. He needed to apologise for his behaviour. He was cruel and he deserved to be told no. She really has suffered more than anyone should.

I absolutely loved it when they were both on the same page, deciding that they loved eachother. They have a spark between them, and she does understand who he is. He actually has feelings towards her, and she really does bring out the best of him.

His actions at the end were a little gut wrenching. How could he do that to her? I can see his reasoning, but I think he’s wrong. I think her feeling are true. I’m looking forward to reading the next book and I seriously hope she find him. I really want them to both have a happy ending together.

I would definitely recommend this series.

Enslaved (The Devil & His Dove Book 1) by Jax Hart

This is the first book in The Devil and His Dove series.

My mother warned me about men like him. She also told me looks can be deceiving. Sure when I first saw him I thought he was just another gorgeous jerk cruising the Med on his mega-yacht. But he was so much more. He drew me into his world of pleasure and enslaved me before I could even ask for a safe word. I was a victim to his skilled seduction. All I wanted was him, nothing else mattered. I knew I had to escape before I completely succumbed to his every deep desire and lost every last piece of who I was.

I plotted. Waited. Executed. It was all a trap to catch her. The beauty of it was she thought she was coming to work on my yacht. She would work…in my master stateroom and on her knees. I wanted to break this beauty, make her beg and plead for me. But who trapped who? How did this woman turn it around and enslave me?

They call me “El Diablo” and Jessie Montgomery is about to find out exactly why. I stop at nothing to get what I want. No price is too high… no boundaries bind me. In my world, there are no safe words and nowhere to run where I won’t capture little birds trying to flee their masters.

I enjoyed reading this book. Jessie and Christos were great characters and the story was good and developed at a good pace. It was a very dark romance though.

Jessie is a great character. She’s strong willed. She defys him whenever she can until she started to understand him. I don’t blame her for running at the end though. He went too far. Way way too far.

Christos is a brilliant, complex character. He’s dark, heartless, ruthless, but there’s more too him underneath. Jessie brings the best of him out. He learns to feel because of her. His actions at the end were unnecessary and way too far. She done right by leaving him. I think he needs the time to think about things. I really hope that he listens to her in the next book, and I damn well hope he apologises for his disposable actions.

The storyline was good. Their relationship built up well before crumbling at the end. His world is very dark though and his dominant nature is pretty hefty. It wasn’t in Jessie’s nature to enter his world, but their became more. There’s far more to him that meets the eye and he’s a very complex character. I’m looking forward to seeing how things develop in the next book

I would definitely recommend this book.

Crossing The Line (It’s Complicated book 1) by Maggie Cole

This is part of the It’s Complicated series, but is a standalone novel.

Noah Parker. Gorgeous and arrogant.
From the first moment we meet, I decide I just might hate him… almost as much as I want him. But a scandalous office romance is the last thing I’m willing to risk my career over.
Noah’s presence is unavoidable, just like our chemistry, and the longer we work side by side, the more mistakes we make.
Inappropriate doesn’t even begin to cover it. And I promise each time will be the last…
After all, he is my boss.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were great and the storyline was good.

Piper was great. I loved how how she worked, and then to have everything change because of Noah. I loved the tension between them at the beginning and then watching their relationship grow. I absolutely loved Noah. I loved his story and why he was doing whst he was.

The story was good. I liked the reasoning behind what Noah had set out to do. When the secrets came out to Piper, I loved how they worked together. I also loved how Noah reacted to her own secrets.

Noah and Piper were both brilliant together, and both grew from being with one another. I enjoyed their happy ending together.

The accident with Xander and Charlotte does leave you intrigued about the next book in the series.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. The storyline was good and the characters were great.

Taken By You (Trilogy boxset) by M. L. Young

This is the full Trilogy boxset for the Taken By You series.

Taken by You: I came in for an internship. I left dating a billionaire.

Penelope Wells, San Francisco twenty-something and soon-to-be college graduate, must make a choice.

She has one chance left, an internship interview at RandomMeetX, a dating app founded by misogynistic playboy billionaire Blake Hunter. She’s not into the dating scene, but a chance to work for a large tech company might be the stepping stone she needs to make it in this industry.

When she shows up and sees the other applicants, she knows there will be a struggle. She’s a little vanilla, and they are rocky road with hot fudge.

When Blake sees her, though, all bets are off. She’s not his usual type but he wants her, not for work, but to be his. He proposes something to her, a way for her needs to be taken care of—if she promises to take care of his.

With her bank account depleting and time running out she agrees, but quickly finds out Blake’s needs involve handcuffs, blindfolds, and lots of handprints on her ass.

Seduced by You: Blake Hunter has never been able to take no for an answer. When Penny doesn’t return his text messages or calls, he can’t help but feel an undying, nagging urge inside of him to talk to Penny, who at this point doesn’t feel ready to say a word to him. When she goes out on a date with a new man, though, and runs into Blake on a date of his own, she can’t help but feel backed into a corner—literally.

After talking to Blake and thinking it over, she decides to do something to him that she never thought was possible. She’s going to give him a piece of his own medicine and use him just like he used her. It’s only when she starts to redevelop her old feelings for him that she knows she’s in way too deep, and she knows that her lies may hurt things all over again.

Loved by You: After confessing her deceit to Blake, Penny has no idea what’s going to happen to their relationship. Will he take her back and understand why she lied to him and used him, as he once used her, or will he say goodbye forever and give up on what they had?

As they begin to patch things up, an opportunity to meet Blake’s parents arises, and it’s through that meeting that Penny finds out why Blake is the way he is, and discovers the story of the woman who shaped him into the emotionally distant serial playboy she first met. But can their relationship survive and stay the same after she finds out about his past?

I really enjoyed reading this boxset. The characters were great and I enjoyed the storyline.

Penny was a great character. I loved Blake as well. I loved the fact that Blake started out from nothing. He was generous with his fortune which just made him even more likable. They both had a brilliant spark together, even though they started off a little rough. Once they got past their problems, they were perfect.

The storyline was very much about both of them and their developing relationship. I enjoyed watching them grow together. I did feel like something else should have happened to test them because the plot was a little bit lacking, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed it. I think it was because I really liked the characters.

Overall, it was an enjoyable trilogy to read and I would recommend it.

The Professor (Forbidden Encounters book 1) by Kelli Callahan

This is a standalone novel in the Forbidden Encounters series.

One night with a stranger. Then I find out who he is…

Christmas in Cancun?
Nothing can get better than that.
Until I see him.
Bryce.
He looks like a Christmas gift wrapped in a bow.

We talk, drink, and kiss.
That’s just the beginning.
But one lie leads to another.
It’s a lot better than telling him the truth.
What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico.
Right?

Unless it follows you home…

I was ready for him to be a memory.
Ready to move on with my life.
Until I saw him standing in the front of my class.
Bryce? The hottest guy I’ve ever met?

He’s my professor.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were great and the storyline was ok.

Bryce was a brilliant character. He was pretty perfect. He was so nice, understanding and caring. His dad was a dick though. Abby was great as well. I loved the spark between them both, and I loved seeing their relationship develop. It was great. The ending was brilliant as well, and very romantic of Bryce.

The storyline was good, although it was heavily focused on their relationship more than an outside storyline. It only scratched on the situation with Bruce’s dad and Abbys dad, and it was only near the end that they played a part in the plot. Bryce did jump to a conclusion too rash and believed the wrong person. But he made it up in the most perfect way. I loved how it ended.

Overall, this was a nice book to read. Bryce and Abby were great and their relationship developed really well. I just think there could have been a slightly stronger storyline outside of their relationship. I would definitely recommend this book though.
