This book is a rapid-fire action/adventure novel packed with a host of twists. It contains a ton of time travel within it.
I liked Lux and the humour she has. It made the book a lot better than it would have been without her.
It was better than I expected. It had a slow start which probably set that expectation, but when the time travelling begun, it definitely picked up pace.
The ending was a massive twist which I didn’t see coming. Everything suddenly came together and intertwined to make sense. I found it quite clever.
The few illustrations were good and well done, however, personally, I could have done without them for the pure reason in that it takes away that bit of imagination in picturing what things look like yourself. The illustrations just give that to you. Nonetheless, they were good and I’m sure other would appreciate them more than I most likely did.
Overall, I ended up enjoying it, however It didn’t have the big gripping impact that some books have on me. I wouldn’t rush in reading the next in the series so I have dropped one star.
I would still definitely recommend this book.
