This is the 5th book in the Zodiac Academy series.
After the devastating events at Zodiac Academy, we have to deal with this darker world we’re faced with.
Lionel seeks to hurt us, the Nymphs seek to hurt the entire Fae race, and between all of it, we just have to try and survive each day as it comes.
I’m afraid of everything falling apart, but it looks like it already has.
I normally try and make my reviews spoiler free, but I don’t think I’m going to be able to for this one, so just a little warning.
This book was brilliant. It brought me on an emotional roller-coaster of a ride. It’s ripped my heart out at moments. It’s made me laugh. It’s made me frustrated. I don’t think I’ve ever shouted at a book as much as I did with this one.
I’ve said it in my reviews of the last books and I’ll say it again.
Darcy and Lance Orion’s relationship is everything. And what have you done? You’ve taken away the only bit of good happening in this series. I absolutely love Lance. He’s brilliant and totally my book boyfriend. But the self sacrificeing, righteous idiot needs his head smashed against a wall and some sense shoved into him.
I swear, if this situation doesn’t get itself fixed, I’m going to have an absolute fit.
Tory and Darius are fantastic together. Tory was an absolute idiot to turn him down, and it was brilliant to see her finally come to terms with what she has done. I do understand where she was coming from, but it was still the wrong choice. I loved the way their relationship grew in this book, even though the stars are forcing them apart. The moments they were able to have together were brilliant.
By the stars, there better be a way to reverse this. They both finally want each other and they both deserve to find happiness together.
I love the relationship between the twins and all the other heirs. They’re all getting on and starting to work together. Caleb is the world’s best friend after everything he has done for Darius and Tory and everything he does for Seth. Max and Geraldine and absolutely fantastic together. I never thought that I would grow to like all of the Heirs, particularly Seth.
I loved Xavier in this book. I loved what Tory done for him. His photoshoot was brilliant.
The ending was a shocker. Diago. Who would have guessed that about hat boy?
I look forward to the day when I can read Lionel Acrux die. It better happen. It needs to happen. Daddy Acrux is an absolute monster of a man and I hope he suffers for everything he has done. And Clara. Jesus wept, what is wrong with her. The Shadows have taken away her humanity and left a psycho behind and her relationship with Lionel is just wrong.
Tory. Why can’t something just go right for her? Once again, daddy dragon needs to suffer for what he has done. Just when you thought he couldn’t do much worse, he does. He took things that one step further. I really hope Tory is strong enough to fight this.
I absolutely love Gabriel. I suspected about his relationship with the twins and I’m so glad that it’s the case. At least something good happened in this book. I hope he finds some answers and is able to help things in the next book.
Lance Orion. Why why why? I’m so mad about what happened. Kylie deserves everything she gets and I seriously hope that we get to see more happen to her. I am literally in despair over what has happened to him, and he made it so much worse for himself.
Our Celestial Authors have outdone themselves with this book. The crossovers with other characters in the spin-off series are fantastic. But by all the stars in the sky, I don’t think I can cope if Lance doesn’t get out of there and that situation not get fixed.
I cannot recommend this series enough. It’s a roller-coaster of a ride. That’s the wonder of brilliant writing. You shout at the book, the feel your heart being ripped out for the characters and you immerse yourself into this world.
