Royals of Villain Academy 4: Horrid Charms by Eva Chase

This is the 4th book in the Royals of Villain Academy series

Every time I turn around, new opponents are looking to knock me down. No part of the magical community is safe. And now my enemies have left me with a horrible accusation hanging over my head, using so many tricks I can barely defend myself.

If I want to clear my name and keep my freedom, I have to turn to the guys who once made my life hell. They’ve changed their tune and made amends, but how far can I really count on them? Especially if they discover that my greatest foes are within their families.

I’m going to have to find out. The truth can’t stay hidden forever. But no matter what the villains in the university and beyond it throw at me, I won’t give in. I’m the last of the Bloodstones… and hanging onto that role may be the only way I can save everything that matters to me.

I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline is great, the characters are great and the plot developed well.

The storyline led on well from the last book. It was good to see how Rory dealt with everything that has happened. She’s a brilliant, strong character. She’s always trying to do good even though she’s been thrown into this new life where fear is everything. I love how she’s growing as a character.

I love how the 4 guys have developed. They all started out as complete arseholes, but now I actually like them all. Declan is my favourite and I was so happy to see him actively supporting Rory in this book. I also love Jude. He genuinely loves Rory and has opened himself up to her. Connar is also great. Malcolm has taken the longest to grow on me, but he did in this book. He’s finally trying to be decent towards her and I loved the fact he apologised.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the plot develops in the next book. The Barons are plotting against Rory, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that develops.

I love the types of magic in this series. It’s different to other books I have read.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this series. It’s got great characters and a great storyline.

My rating: 5/5*
