Darkmore Penitentiary 2: Captive Fae (Supernatural Prison for Dark Fae) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the second book in the Supernatural Prison for Dark Fae series.

I came here with a single goal in mind. An aim. A purpose.
I will break out of Darkmore Penitentiary.

But I was a fool to think that it would be so simple. And now with more and more Fae relying on me to get them out of this slice of hell, I find myself unable to do a damn thing.

Mason Cain stabbed me in the back and left me to rot in the dark. So now I have another goal in mind before I escape this place, because no one messes with the Queen of the Oscura Clan and lives to tell the tale. The moment I get out of this place, my sights will be set on him.

Between the four alpha males luring me in, the psychopaths trying to kill me and the monster roaming the halls at night, I have my hands full in here.

But one thing is for sure. I’m not throwing my life away in this place.

So I’ll do whatever it takes to escape.

This was absolutely fantastic. The storyline was brilliant, the characters are great and once again, our Celestial Authors have outdone themselves.

Rosalie is such a strong feisty character. After spending that amount of time in the hole, and coming out of it sane, she deserves a darn medal. I love her relationship with all of the guys, and love how it’s developing with each of them. Her group therepy sessions were absolutely hilarious, and I loved how Cain reacted to them.

Mason Cain has stolen my heart. I absolutely love him. He is an absolute stronzo for sure, but he let out his softer side at moments in this book. Once Rosalie told him what her father did to her, he felt bad for what he’d done. He’s growing relationship with her is absolutely brilliant and I loved the moment he gave in to his desires. Mason at the end though… Oh my god, I was feeling so sorry for him. I sure as hell hope that Rosalie isn’t too much of a arse towards him in the next book, and I hope he does actually help her.

I love Sin. He’s hilarious, but bloody hell he doesn’t listen. I also love Ethan. It was great to see him finally grow some balls towards the end of the book. Both of them with Rosalie was hot as hell.

Roary is probably least favourite out of them, although I do still like him. I just don’t see the natural chemistry between him and Rosalie, but that may be because he keeps holding back. He deserves to get out of this prison, and I sure as help he does. I hope they all do.

I set myself up for everything to go wrong at the end. It was all going too well and nothing ever goes that well. I didn’t expect it to happen the way it did though and I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book now that they have a deadline. I’m also intrigued to see how the news about phych will play out.

Our Celestial Authors need to keep some food sacred. Is nothing safe? Gah. Thank for ruining more food items I love.

I love all of the easter eggs we get, but I have so many questions.

Who is Benjamin Acrux? What the hell happened with Darius? What happened with Ryder? Gahhh

This book was absolutely fantastic. I love the storyline and the characters are absolutely fantastic. All the books in Solaria are fantastic and I would definitely recommend them all.

P.S I love Mason Cain.

My rating: 5/5*
