This is the complete prequel and 4 book series.
Allison Rand is a hot little barista struggling to make rent. The sassy firecracker is not afraid to take chances—except when it comes to her heart. She moved from her sleepy small town beginnings, to chase her dreams in the City of Angels.
When her best frappe friend offers her the job of a lifetime, she jumps in with both feet. Right into the arms of Billionaire Cooper Brighton. He’s tall, handsome, and totally out of her league—or so she thinks.
Billionaire playboy, and CEO of Brighton Enterprises, Cooper Brighton, was thrown into the business after tragedy strikes. He’s rich and powerful—but his new position leaves him lonely and haunted by his own demons—Demons he’s not sure he’s ready to face.
Allie and Cooper are both keeping secrets. As they continue to cross paths, will their secrets bring them closer together—or become the one thing that tears them apart?
I enjoyed this series. The characters were good and the storyline was good.
The first 3 books were great, but the 4th was a disappointment.
I likes the characters. Allie was good. She was smart and had her own style. It’s nice to see a character who’s a little different. Cooper was good as well. With his position and money, he was actually a really nice person. I think him and Allie had a spark and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. They were both strong personalities, but they managed to make it work, although they needed to communicate more.
The storyline was good, although each book was a little short and sometimes a little rushed. The first three had a good storyline on top of the developing relationship between Cooper and Allie.
I dropped a star because the 4th book just seemed to lack a plot completely. It was all about Allie and Cooper’s relationship. I know Allie had her family problems, but it was completely different and off point from the previous 3 books. All the drama from the last book came to nothing. It was also a little rushed. I liked the ending between Cooper and Allie, but it just seemed to rush in getting there.
Overall, this was a good series, and the characters were good. The storyline was good par the 4th book. I enjoyed reading it, so I would recommend this series.
My rating: 4/5*
