Ruining Dahlia (Mafia Wars) by C. R. Jane

This is the third book in a shared world series called Mafia Wars. Each book is a standalone.

I was sold to my enemies. And not just my enemies. I was sold to monsters.

I should know all about how to survive monsters though, I come from a family of them.

We aren’t Butchers in name only, and surely the Rossi family can’t be as bad as the devil that’s been destroying me since I was eight years old.

New York City, the powerful head of the Cosa Nostra, is my new home. Where Lucian, Raphael, and Gabriel Rossi now think they own me.

The thing they don’t realize is that I’m more than what I seem.

A dahlia has always bloomed best in the light, and even though everything about this place and these men is shrouded in darkness, I’m determined to thrive…to win.

They play a game for keeps, a game where the only rule is that there are no rules.

They want to ruin me. But what disturbs me most is that I just might like it.

It’s me against them, and only time will tell If I’ll be the winner or be destroyed in these cruel and merciless Mafia Wars.

This book was brilliant to read. The characters were great and the story was fantastic.

Dahlia was a fantastic main character. She was strong considering what she had been through in the past. I loved seeing her tackle her demons in the end. I also loved watching her grow close to the three boys.

The boys were great and all so different. Gabriel was such a sweetheart towards her and I just loved him. Lucian was a great character, but I think if it wasn’t for his POV chapters, I would have taken a lot longer to come around to him. He had his demons and unfortunately, he took them out on her at times. Raphael was another broken soul. I liked him, and then I hated him, and then I loved him. These boys just needed to communicate. Even though they were brothers, they didn’t really understand each other as well as they thought.

I loved the development of their characters, and their relationship with Dahlia. She seemed to just click with them as the story progressed and I loved watching them accept sharing her. They all saved each other ultimately. They scenes between them were hot as well.

Overall, this book was a fantastic addition to the Mafia Wars series. I loved the characters and the storyline. I would definitely recommend it.

My rating: 5/5*
