I loved the continuation of this story. The plot is great and the characters are brilliant.
Anais is a great character. She sticks up for herself and tried fighting back against Damien’s controlling ways, but ultimately, she realises that he hasn’t given her a choice once again. You kind of feel sorry for her.
Damien is fantastic, but he is also frustrating. He gives Anais no choice but to agree to be with him, which is definitely an arsehole move. She just wants to know that he actually wants her and he doesn’t show her that. I love his character development though and how he starts to see her more and realise what she needs. He starts listening. I really hope that he just opens up more and tells her how he really feels.
I like the plot and it’s development. Someone is messing with them and it’s not until right at the end that we find out more. It definitely surprised me and I’m certain that Damien is going to rain hell until he finds Anais.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading the next one. I would definitely recommend this series.
