Merged With Him (The Merge Book 1) by Kylie Kent

This is the first book in The Merge Series although it is also a standalone.

When my eyes met Zac’s from across the bar, I knew. I knew my heart was forever lost. I also knew I could never have him. It wasn’t just a matter of wrong place and wrong time. If only it were that simple. Being with Zac means risking everything — including my own life. I know I shouldn’t want him, but my heart won’t listen to reason, and neither will Zac.

Can the promises he makes of us, always having a tomorrow together, be real?

The moment I see Alyssa enter my club, I knew wanted her. Even as she sat across the bar with another man — I knew I’d make her mine. The moment our skin connected every cell in my body exploded like fireworks. That moment sealed her fate. I was keeping her. When someone threatens to take her away from me. I’m ready for war. I don’t have to go to hell and back to save the woman I love. I’m already there, my soul stained with the blood of those who thought they could cross me.

I promised her we would always have a tomorrow together, I don’t break my promises.

I loved reading this book. It was a nice quick read, the characters were great and I liked the storyline.

Alyssa was brilliant. She has a good background which made her relationship wih Zac mean more. She was a strong independent character beside the fact Zac could literally do anything for her. I loved her friends, particularly Reilly

Zac was perfect. He was everything a girl could want. I absolutely loved his character. I loved the duel POV, because it was great seeing them both come to terms with their feelings and how quick they developed. I loved how he took care of his sister and brother.

Their relationship was great. They had a clear spark between them from the very first moment, and I loved seeing it develop. They were pretty hot together.

The storyline was good. I liked how it affected them both and it only made them stronger. The ending was nice and happy.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The characters were brilliant and I would definitely recommend it.

Dark Angel: The Angel Duet (Book1) A dark mafia romance (The London Ruthless Series) by Sadie Kincaid

This is the first book in The London Ruthless series.

I was never supposed to fall in love with Gabriel Sullivan. He has always been off limits in more ways than one.

But, for all the reasons we should be apart, there’s one that keeps drawing me back to him – he is the only man I’ve ever loved.
And every stolen glance, every smile, every brush of his fingertips, only make me want him more.

Samantha Donovan used to call me her angel, but the things I’d like to do to her make me feel like the devil.
I should stay away from her. For her sake and for mine. I’ve made it to the top of my game by being ruthless and calculated. A man with nothing to lose can act without consequence.
The problem is, I’m a man who takes what he wants, and I want her.
And I will have her at any cost.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are great and the storyline was good.

Samantha was a great complex character. I loved her backstory. It made you connect with her more. She had been through so much in her life, but she had come out stronger.

Gabriel was brilliant. I absolutely loved him. He was a genuinely nice guy and I loved his understanding with Sam. They both jumped to conclusions too easily rather than talk to each other though. I loved watching their relationship develop. They were pretty hot together.

The storyline was good. I think Sam needed to trust Gabriel more, especially knowing what him and her dad were like. She should have trusted him with Jacksons threats.

Gabriel screwed up big time when they were on a break though. I just know that it will come back to bite him in the next book. The ending was far too happy for it not too.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

Craving The CEO by Iona Rose

This is a standalone novel.

I’d never had a one-night stand before and all I wanted to do was celebrate snagging my Interview at my anticipated new job, but he was cute on steroids. And then he went and smiled, and oh my, how much his parents must have spent on his teeth. He was downright edible.

I could be exaggerating though, I did have a little too much to drink. To cut the long story short, I went back to his hotel room… and it was a totally ah-mah-zing night.

Well, the rest is a bit sordid.

One night stands are supposed to be. You creep out, or he does. I stole the march on him and left before he opened those heavenly eyes. I filed the night away in my head under Fantastic Experiences.

When I was an old woman sitting on a rocking chair on my porch eating ice cream while my seven or even ten grand children played in the front yard, I would recall the night and tell me myself, “Blair, you scored well that night.”

Then I got ready for the Interview day at the new job I was celebrating. Thankfully I did get the job.

But now you must know where I’m going with this.

That’s right, that unforgettably gorgeous man I was going to be congratulating myself over when I was wrinkled and gray, he was my new boss!
And even without the alcohol he was climb-worthy, but I should add, he was what any reasonable woman would also call a boss-hole…

I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice easy read. The characters were great and I loved the storyline.

Blair is a great character. I love her wit and how she dealt with Grady and his moods. I loved Grady. He was a brilliant character. I loved the duel POV because it made you understand where they were both coming from.

I thought the way they met was great and I loved their reactions to finding out they were going to work together. Grady was an ass towards her and gave her a hard time, but the spark between them was hot. I loved watching their relationship develop once they both gave in to their desire.

I think the storyline with Gradys father and hers was good because ultimately, it’s what makes them admit their feelings for one another.

I loved seeing Grady realise that he loves her. The ending was great and I loved the epilogue.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

Feral Wolf (Darkmore Penitentiary Book 3) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

This is the third book in the Darkmore Penitentiary series.

Books 1 and 2 have been renamed to Caged Wolf (Darkmore Penitentiary Book 1) and Alpha Wolf (Darkmore Penitentiary Book 2).

A morte e ritorno.

My family’s motto circles in my mind as I look this problem dead on and try to figure it out.

I’ve faced worse than this. Survived worse odds than this. I won’t let this failure break me.

We have 72 hours to turn this around.

72 hours to make a new plan out of the dregs of the old.

72 hours until all hope is lost.

This task is impossible, but I still like my chances. I have an ace in my pocket and his name is Mason Cain. He might not want to help me, but I don’t plan on giving him a choice in the matter.

My name is Rosalie Oscura. And I refuse to let anything beat me

I absolutely love this series. The characters are fantastic and the storyline is brilliant. I just love Solaria.

Rosalie is fantastic. She’s a true Alpha. She’s strong and determined, and I absolutely love how she always makes the best of each situation and finds a way to make a plan.

I absolutely love Mason Cain. I love how his relationship with Rosalie has developed. He’s hurt and angey after the end of book 2, and I loved seeing him come to terms with the truth. Seeing him willing to help her eventually has been great and watching him accept his feelings had been brilliant. I love seeing them both together. He’s by far my favourite of the boys.

Ethan and Roary are both great too. I’ve enjoyed watching the relationship between them and Rosalie develop. The relationship between the three of them has been great as well. I’m happy with what happened between Rosalie and Roary, but it also made the ending so much worst.

Sin is brilliant. He’s a whole new breed of crazy and I loved it. I think Roaslie was right to get angry at him after he keeps messing up though, but ultimately, that led to his plan which did work. I loved his never-ending supply of lemons. I felt sorry for him at times when he’s thinking that he’s the outsider. It was nice to see Rosalie assuring him that he isn’t.

I think Rosalie’s relationship with all four boys are brilliant and I loved seeing them gradually getting to know each other. They are all dominant, alpha men and sharing Rosalie isn’t exactly natural for them, yet they are making it work.

Plunger. Jesus. He’s just…wow. I absolutely loved the odd Hastings chapters and what he witnessed was hilarious. Potatoes. That’s all.

I laughed a lot. Although what the hell do you have against innocent food?

The small easter eggs mentioning what happened 5 years are painful. It’s making me anxious about Zodiac Academy.

The ending. Our Celestial authors are a little evil sometimes. I shouted at my kindle. Holy shit, it wasn’t something I saw coming. How the hell is that going to be fixed?

I can’t wait for the next book. Overall, this series is brilliant and I loved this book. I would definitely recommend it.

Voyeur by Candace Wondrak

Welcome to the Dollhouse, where devils rule.I used to be a good girl.

I did everything right. But then I came home and found my boyfriend in bed with my sister, so I left, eventually finding myself at the Dollhouse—a strip club. No good girl would be caught dead at the Dollhouse, but like I said, that was the old me. The new me? The new me likes it dirty. Likes it rough. I like being put on display and watched… and he likes watching. He will do anything to take me as his own and make me his in every sick way possible. He wants to own me. To control me.

Roman is a devil in a suit, the kind of dangerous man who can bend anyone to his will. Together, with his partner in crime, Carter, he dominates me the moment we meet. But I still have a mind of my own, my own wants and desires that include a sweet, kind, and dangerously cute neighbor of mine.

If Roman wants to keep me, he’ll either have to cage me or bow to me once in a while.

Even devils can break.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and the storyline was good.

Zoey was a great character. I loved how she had a backbone and put up a fight against Roman’s possessive needs. I loved the relationship between them both.

Roman was brilliant. I love his dark nature and his desire to watch her made him interesting. I loved it when he gave in and took her for himself. I enjoyed his development, because he is undoubtedly possessive and controlling. He knew what he needed to do to keep Zoey. I liked the fact that he developed genuine feelings towards her.

Carter was brilliant as well. I loved the development in him and his feelings towards Zoey. I have to admire his loyalty to Roman. No matter what his thoughts and desires were, he followed Romans orders. They were definitely a package together.

Lake was alright. He definitely filled the gaps which Roman and Carter couldn’t fill, but I clearly prefer the darker men personally. He was an all round nice guy, and seeing him accept her situation with Roman was interesting to read.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was pretty hot between Zoey and the guys, and I loved the character developments.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Shattered Soul (Riverside Docks Crew Book 2)

The second book is the Riverside Docks Crew series is out now!

Kidnapped again.

The Crew has taken everything from me. I’ve even lost the only family I had, and yet I’m still here.

Frankie Gomez staked his claim on me, but even he didn’t expect to develop feelings.

My shattered soul craves more though.
Frankie, Joe, Ash and Chris.
They all saved me. They all own a part of my broken soul.

The Crew may be thicker than blood, and Tiger might be the boss, but I’ve made my own gang with these men. And we’re going to rage war upon the Royal Gang for what they did.

The Riverside Docks Crew, the Downtown Bridge Crew and the Royal Gang might have been at war before, but they’ve seen nothing yet.

The war is only just beginning.

This is the second book in a reverse harem, dark romance series, featuring dark themes and gang violence.

Check out book one, Riverside Warrior here:

The Gender War (The Gender Game book 4) by Bella Forrest

This is the fourth book in The Gender Games series.

“For the sake of Viggo, my brother, my family in Patrus, and every single citizen of our God-forsaken nations, I had to stop the war.”

I’m enjoying listening to this series on audiobook as much as I first enjoyed reading it.

Violet is a great character. She wants to stop the war which is begining to rage between Matrus and Patrus. I love Viggo. He’s a fantastic. I love the romance between him and Violet. It is overpowering the story, nor is it cheesy. It’s just sweet.

I love all of the other characters. Owen, Melissa Dale, Amber, and the two boys. They’re all great. Thomas is a little frustrating though.

This book is full of action from the start, to what happened at Ambers mansion, to the ending at the Palace.

The world building is faultless. It’s brilliant and I love the dystopian feel with what’s going on between both Matrus and Patrus.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this series. It’s a fun and exciting YA series.

My rating: 5/5*

This book is filled with action.

Serving Him (Complete Boxset) by M. S. Parker and Cassie Wild

This is the full boxset of the Serving Him Series.

“I moved to New York from Iowa to find a life that I didn’t know I was looking for. I expected to have to work hard and barely make ends meet. But…I never expected to meet HIM.”

For twenty-one year-old Aleena Davison, it was a life-long dream coming true when she said goodbye to her dreary small-town life in Iowa and moved to Manhattan.
However, it didn’t take long for her dream to turn into a nightmare. Everything from the roommate from hell to her asshole of a boss, contributed to her pain and she’d just about given up. That was…until she ran into devilish handsome, Dominic Snow.
The mysterious stranger not only tried saving her waitress job, but also made her an offer she couldn’t refuse, a new and much more lucrative job.
“Strictly professional,” he’d insisted. But could she trust herself working for the hottest man she’d ever met?

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the storyline was good.

Aleena was a good character, although she was a little bit too sensitive about her race at times. I liked how she was a strong and was able to deal with Dominic and his busy lifestyle. She fitting into becoming his PA easily.

It was great reading Dominic and Aleena’s relationship grow and seeing him teach her about his sexual lifestyle. They had a clear spark and she just understood him. I enjoyed reading him come to terms with his feelings towards her. It took him a little while to realise that she wasn’t like others he had been with, and took, him a while to learn to the proper aftercare with her. In the end, they were great together.

I loved Dominic. The more you learnt about him, the better he was. I felt for him and what he went through in the past.

My only criticism is that I didn’t understand why this was split into volumes. They ended at almost random points and I didn’t really see the point. It made more sense being read as one continuous book.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the storyline was good. I would definitely recommend it.

Dirty Dom (Valetti Crime Family Book 1) by Willow Winters

This is the first book in the Valetti Crime Family series, although this book can also be read as a standalone.

I’m not always proud of the man I am, but when you grow up in a crime family, there aren’t a lot of options.
I do what I have to do, and more than often, I crave it.

The power, the women, the money. All of it comes easy to me.
Until Becca walked into my office.

Everything about her was tempting. Her beautiful eyes that pierced into me, her body that was made for sin.
She came to pay off a debt, but I wanted more.
So I did what I’ve always done, I took what I wanted.

She’s a good girl who never should have walked through that door.
I never should have touched her, but now that I have, I can’t stop.

I’ll push her boundaries, she’ll cave to temptation.
We’ll both forget about the danger.
And that’s a mistake I can’t afford…

I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was good and the characters were great.

Becca was a good character. She’s having a hard time, and then stumbled into Dom while laying off her dead husbands debt. She’s a strong character and deals with everything well given the circumstances. She battles against her feelings towards Dom though.

Dom was brilliant. He’s got a dark family, but they’re also close. He knows he wants Becca from the start and he fights to get her. He saves her, and I love how hard he takes her rejection. I enjoyed the small insight to his family as well. It was nice to see a mob family so close.

I loved watching them come together, because ultimately, he gives everything up for her. I feel like they needed to be together. She needed someone strong to have her back and I feel that he needed something more in his life.

Overall, this book was a quick enjoyable read and I’d definitely recommend it.

My rating: 5/5*

Teach Me Dirty by Jade West

This is a standalone book.

They tell me it’s unhealthy, just a stupid crush. They tell me it’s infatuation, and will never come to anything. Never mean anything.
Because what would I know, right?
I haven’t even finished school. I’m just a silly little girl.

And no little girl should want the things I want from him.
No little girl should have the thoughts I have…

But they’re wrong.
I really do love Mr Roberts.
I love Mr Roberts because he’s the most amazing man, the most amazing artist, the most amazing teacher that could ever have existed.

And what if… just what if Mr Roberts wants me, too?
What if Mr Roberts really does want to Teach Me Dirty?

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were great and the storyline was good.

I am a fan of teacher-student romance books, but usually not with large age gaps, however this book was brilliant.

I loved Helen and Mark Roberts. Both of them were brilliant and I loved having both of their points of view. Helen was mature for her age, and she knew exactly what she wanted and how she felt. She had moments, but she was only eighteen. She definitely knew her own mind though. Mark knew it was wrong with his position, but he came to accept his feelings. I absolutely loved him. He just wanted what’s best for her, regardless of his feelings towards her. Ultimately, what’s best for both of them was being together.

I absolutely loved watching them grow together, and it was brilliant reading him teach her in more ways than one. They connected on every level, heart and soul. He taught her in the bedroom as well as in the classroom, and they also found friendship with each other. He helped her grow as a person, and she helped him grow. They changed each others lives. I loved the art aspect and how they spoke about it and expressed it. There was true emotion in this book.

I found Lizzie annoying until the end with her confession. After that I could understand her actions and I did feel sorry for her.

Her dad’s reaction was hard, but it was also realistic. He saw what anyone would have. Reading the book, you know different because their feelings were real and you’ve seen inside their thoughts. I loved how it spiraled out from there, and ultimately, I loved her mums love for her daughter and how they fixed everything. Helen needed Mark and her mum knew it after seeing her heart broken.

This book was brilliant because it had emotion. It shows that you really can’t help who you fall in love with. Sometimes two people just click, and belong together.

I would definitely recommend this book.
